Ingredients:

For the Bottom Layer:
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 egg
For the Ooey Gooey Layer:
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
Toppings (Optional):
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter chips
  • A drizzle of melted peanut butter or chocolate

Instructions:

  1. Preheat & Prep:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Make the Bottom Layer:

    • In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
    • Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  3. Prepare the Ooey Gooey Layer:

    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth.
